GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL UGANDA
Green Building
A collection of design construction and operation practices that significantly reduce the negative impacts of development on climate, environment and occupants over the life cycle of buildings.
Green Building Council Uganda (GBCUG) is an independent, non-profit organisation, a member of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) working to increase environmental awareness and sustainability across Uganda, from bustling urban centers to rural communities.
Our mission is to lead the transformation of Uganda’s built environment towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient, and environmentally sustainable future. We champion green building practices in the construction of buildings and infrastructure.
Together with our partners, we are committed to ensuring a liveable, healthy, resilient, and sustainable built environment that offers positive, inclusive, and economically viable cities and communities, while conserving our natural environment.
Leading the transformation of Uganda’s built environment towards sustainability.
