Education and Training

GBCUG offers education and training to develop market capacity to deliver solutions to achieve sustainability in the built environment.  We provide key measures for governments (national and sub-national) to adopt, helping them set priorities and shape strategies based on their situation, using the GBCUG / ARN Manifesto for Cities and Built Environment and the Global ABC regional roadmap. 

These include:

• Professional Accreditation: In collaboration with the Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA), we offer professional accreditation training in Green Star SA International rating tools. This comprehensive suite of credible international frameworks has been localised to address Uganda’s unique context, enabling informed decision-making regarding your assets’ future. The training includes Green Star SA ,  LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), and IFC EDGE

• Community outreach ,awareness raising, mindset change: Working with universities and other educational establishments, we support community outreach programs to raise awareness about green building and inspire mindset change. 

• Young Champions, Future Leaders  and Green Start Schools Program / Initiatives
